MACANUDO ECUADOR SUMATRA – GORDO

Unleash a bolder side of a legendary brand with the Macanudo Sumatra. Serving as the dark, intense counterpart to the Ecuadorian Shade, this premium cigar is tailored specifically for aficionados who crave a complex, heavy-oil flavor profile. Handcrafted with precision at the STG factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, it features a traditional box-pressed shape that guarantees a cool, slow burn—allowing its deep flavors to develop smoothly without becoming bitter.

The undeniable star of this blend is its sun-grown Ecuador Sumatra wrapper. Cultivated under open sunlight, the wrapper leaf develops thick, oil-rich properties that drive the cigar’s heavy, aromatic character. Beneath the wrapper sits a rugged Connecticut Broadleaf binder holding together a complex filler core of Dominican Piloto Cubano, Dominican Olor, and Nicaraguan tobaccos from the Condega and Estelí regions.

From the very first puff, the medium-to-full-bodied profile hits the palate with a commanding wave of sharp black pepper, rich earth, and dark cocoa. A sophisticated note of roasted espresso takes center stage, beautifully rounded out by a subtle, naturally sweet floral finish. Built for deep relaxation and lingering flavor, the Macanudo Sumatra pairs perfectly with a dark roast coffee, an intense espresso, or a peaty Islay scotch.
