La Flor Dominicana (LFD) stands as one of the rare vertical operators in the boutique cigar world, controlling its process entirely from seed to smoke. The story of the Cabinet Oscuro series begins on Litto Gomez’s famous La Canela farm in the Dominican Republic.

Known for its intensely fertile soil, this micro-climate produces some of the most robust, high-priming tobacco on earth. After years of aging their estate-grown ligero—the heavy, sun-drenched leaves picked from the very top of the tobacco plant—LFD was ready to unleash its first true full-bodied powerhouse. To counter the intense spice of the filler, Litto selected a rare, heavily fermented Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. Sweeter and darker than a traditional natural leaf, but more rustic than a standard maduro, Litto proudly dubbed it Oscuro. The result is a highly limited, meticulously balanced blend that redefined what full-bodied Dominican cigars could achieve.
