In 2015, master blender Nicholas Melillo set out to build a brand that merged ancient history, biblical imagery, and top-tier agriculture. Ten years later, Foundation Cigar Company stands as a titan of the boutique sector. To mark this milestone, Melillo chose the iconic imagery of St. George slaying the dragon for the box artwork. This design serves as a powerful personal symbol of perseverance, representing the relentless hurdles of the premium cigar industry and the triumph of independent craftsmanship over a decade of business. Furthermore, the heart of this release bridges Melillo’s past and present. The wrapper utilizes experimental seed variants grown right in the Connecticut River Valley, on the exact agricultural land that houses Foundation’s corporate headquarters.
